God is a Great King, the Great Shepherd, the Great Messiah

God the Great King

Psalm 95:3  For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Psalm 47:2    For the LORD Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth.

Psalm 47:7    For God is the King of all the earth;   Sing praises with understanding.

Psalm 48:2    Fair and beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth—Mount Zion [the City of David], to the northern side [Mount Moriah and the temple], the [whole] city of the Great King!

Jeremiah 8:22    Is there no balm in Gilead?   Is there no physician there?   Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people restored? [Because Zion no longer enjoyed the presence of the Great Physician!]

Malachi 1:14    But cursed is the [cheating] deceiver who has a male in his flock and vows to offer it, yet sacrifices to the [sovereign] Lord a blemished or diseased thing!  For I am a great King, says the Lord of hosts, and My name is terrible and to be [reverently] feared among the nations.

Matthew 5:35    Or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

Matthew 4:16    The people who sat (dwelt enveloped) in darkness have seen a great Light, and for those who sat in the land and shadow of death Light has dawned.

Jesus Christ the Messiah, God, Son of God, great and majestic

Matthew 12:6    But I tell you, Something greater and more exalted and more majestic than the temple is here!

Matthew 12:41    The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, Someone more and greater than Jonah is here!

Matthew 12:42    The queen of the South will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it;  for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, Someone more and greater than Solomon is here.

Luke 8:39    Return to your own house, and tell what great things God has done for you.   And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

John 2:11    This, the first of His signs (miracles, wonder-works), Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory [by it He displayed His greatness and His power openly], and His Disciples believed in Him [adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him].

John 3:16    For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ( unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

John 5:36    But I have as My witness something greater (weightier, higher, better) than that of John; for the works that the Father has appointed Me to accomplish and finish, the very same works that I am now doing, are a witness and proof that the Father has sent Me.

Titus 2:13    Awaiting and looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One)

Hebrews 2:3    how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him

Hebrews 3:3    Yet Jesus has been considered worthy of much greater honor and glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house [itself].

Hebrews 4:14    Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

Hebrews 13:20    Now may the God of peace [Who is the Author and the Giver of peace], Who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, by the blood [that sealed, ratified] the everlasting agreement (covenant, testament)

1 Timothy 6:15    Which [appearing] will be shown forth in His own proper time by the blessed, only Sovereign (Ruler), the King of kings and the Lord of lords
