uplifting thoughts and inspiration on faith

Psalm 139:17   How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!  How great is the sum of them!

To claim the Promises of  God you must first believe The Bible as a trustworthy Source for understanding God and His will for our lives.  Here are some scripture verses that assure us we can trust the Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 Amplified Bible:   Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:20-21 Amplified Bible:   [Yet] first [you must] understand this, that no prophecy of Scripture is [a matter] of any personal or private or special interpretation (loosening, solving).  For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so–it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were born along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 7:24-25 Amplified Bible:    So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

John 5:24 Amplified Bible:    I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the person whose ears are open to My words [who listens to My message] and believes and trusts in and clings to and relies on Him Who sent Me has (possesses now) eternal life. And he does not come into judgment [does not incur sentence of judgment, will not come under condemnation], but he has already passed over out of death into life.

Proverbs 30:5-6Amplified Bible:    Every word of God is tried and purified;   He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him.  Add not to His words, lest He reprove you, and you be found a liar.

Mark 13:31Amplified Bible:    Heaven and earth will perish and pass away, but My words will not perish or pass away.

Isaiah 55:10-11Amplified Bible:    For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,  So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

1 Kings 8:56 Amplified Bible:    Blessed be the Lord, Who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised.   Not one word has failed of all His good promise which He promised through Moses His servant.
